This tool was designed for long-term service and is made from boron steel. The tool has been specially heat treated to ensure high resistance to impact and abrasive wear. It has a typical hardness and toughness from 47 to 51 HRC.
Moreover, to increase durability and shape retention, the tool has been further reinforced by applying a wear-resistant coating using a robotic welding process with carefully monitored parameters. The alloy used for the facing is rust-proof and highly corrosion-resistant, with outstanding abrasion resistance and good impact resistance.
